Romabond Marine Adhesive is a one-component, polyurethane-based wood adhesive. It cures with the help of moisture in the environment and in the wood. It is easy to apply, has low viscosity and high adhesion strength.
It is resistant to water, humidity and chemicals according to D4-DIN EN204 standard. It can be used on slightly damp surfaces and for filling purposes. It does not lose its strength at low and high temperatures.
Transparent Marine Adhesive, on the other hand, cures quickly, has a low pressing time, and is transparent, in addition to the above features.
Operating Instruction
- The parts to be bonded must be properly cleaned; should be free of dust and oil.
- For strong adhesion, at least one of the surfaces must be porous.
- Lightly moistening the surfaces before application will increase the adhesion performance.
- The adhesive should be applied as a thin layer on one or both surfaces.
- Surfaces should be pressed within 15 minutes. Pressing time depends on the humidity, temperature of the environment and how porous (absorbent) the materials to be bonded are.
- Freshly applied adhesive can be cleaned with acetone.
- It should not be used at temperatures below +5 °C.
